Jason Please Fix

Advent is one of my favorite seasons of the church year. Each year I can’t wait for the Wednesday night worship services. Each year I can’t wait to make and set out my Advent wreaths. Each year I can’t wait to read my daily devotion after lighting the candle(s). Yet, I do have to wait. This season of waiting is a great season especially when I focus on the religious side of these days before Christmas and try not to get caught up in all the frantic things happening around me. Waiting comes into focus when I am still around the wreath, candle and God’s Word each evening. It teaches me that I can wait and take to heart the words from Psalm 27: “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” This may be my favorite Advent wreath. I thank Messiah’s fellowship board for hosting the event last Sunday so that I could make it!
