Leaving for the NYG

I’m leaving on a jet plane. I know when I’ll be back again. My bags are packed. I’m ready to go.

Tomorrow at 5:55am I board the Go Express shuttle Downtown and arrive at the Indianapolis Airport in time to meet 10 Youth and 3 other adults heading to Houston to attend the ELCA Youth Gathering. Each day I’ll post some thoughts, profound I’m sure lol, about the event and our group. Pictures, too. The theme is “This Changes Everything!” Hmmm…. it will be interesting to see what it changes in each of us and our group.

My hopes are that we navigate the bus system to get to the Astros game and return to our hotel. That no one succumbs to dehydration or anything else. That there are lots of laughs. Lots of laughs. That my slow pace doesn’t hold them back too much. That a cool breeze will arrive for the rest of the week. That everyone’s hearts will be overwhelmed with God’s love and grace. That great memories will materialize and this group will hang together at Messiah for years upon years doing great things for ers. That there will be lots of laughter.
