A Mouse
Today the ELCA Youth Gathering officially began. Evan Grothen started our day with the First 15 devotion during breakfast in Ashley and Matt’s room where we enjoyed pop tarts and mini muffins with OJ or apple juice. Evan shared about Moses’ call from God in the burning bush. The theme for the day was God’s Call Changes Everything.
We moseyed over to the mall, picked up 60 Houston postcards and had lunch.
Then we were off to the NRG Center and rock climbing, spike ball, gaga ball, heard Bishop Eaton speak (amazing), heard great music from my friends Rachel Kurtz and Agape.
Then after a mouse ran by Cassie and Annika by the food truck, we waited in line to get into the stadium for the Mass Gathering. All the youth were impressed by Bryan Stevenson and Rev. Tubing Rasche.
Our Final 15 devotion by Anna Ritchotte had us thinking about God’s call in our lives. What a great day with 10 Youth who are having fun, clothes pinning many people and open to God’s call. Some even got signatures on their maps from youth from Alaska, Hawaii and even Australia
