Naked Butts

Each summer my grandsons (Elijah age 8 and Judah age 6) come to visit for a week.  Daily we experience some special downtown adventures and then go to Vacation Bible School.  One day our adventure took us past the fountain pictured here.  The boys giggled and wondered why I would take a picture of ladies with bare butts.  I love their giggles.

During the winter the fountain is turned off and a barricade is around it.   Today, however, it was open and flowing.  Soon summer will be here, and the boys will be giggling at this fountain again.  That most certainly is hope.

We also find hope in this verse:  John 4: 13-14  "Jesus said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.”

Our real hope comes, of course, from Jesus.  He is the living water that gives us life; and that  "gushing up to eternal life" brings about a deep joy, not just happiness; and also giggles of great joy if we just look for it. That too gives me great hope!
