St. Mary’s Downtown Indy

“Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim, ‘till all the world adore his sacred name.”

On my walk today I saw Christ’s empty cross, high atop St. Mary’s Catholic Church, as pictured here.  A great sign of hope uplifted!

Today we celebrate that empty cross. Today the cross of Christ is lifted high.  The EMPTY cross of Christ where our hope lies.

1 Peter 1: 3-5 confirms our hope on this Easter Sunday as we look upon that empty cross:  "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who are being protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.“

Although our Easter this year is different, it still is timelessly the same!   Christ has died!  Christ is risen!  Christ will come again!  What hope!
