This woman had a hard life yet had a twinkle in her eyes, smile upon her lips and the good word of God to share with all.  She impressed upon me the need for people to listen to people’s stories.

Yesterday I went to one of my favorite stores, Lush, and bought shower gel.  It is named “The Olive Branch.”  

How can such beauty be bad? A great rhetorical question for many things in life.

Let’s get to know those God has placed near to us in our neighborhood.

It’s interesting how the mind works and gets stuck at times along life’s way.

Sometimes I don’t take the time to notice the things I should praise God for. Sometimes I am reticent to share praiseworthy things giving God all the honor and glory, although I may thank God myself quietly.

Saturday I had a fun time going to the Indiana Historical Society’s version of Antique Roadshow.  I had appointments with two appraisers and one conservator.  All three ended up saying about the same thing that I want to share with you. 

Do smells trigger memories for you?  They do so often with me.  Last week on three occasions smells reminded me of the church where I grew up.

We always want what we can’t have and then wonder why we wanted it when we get it.  I’m grateful for a God who clutches on to me and doesn’t let go even when I want to be let go.

This orange cat is both a joy and a disturbance.  I take a shower and the moment I set my foot upon the bath mat as I get out, the orange cat circles my leg purring leaving an orange, furry anklet around my clean foot.
