Easter Pork & Beans
Easter, as with most holidays, was a big deal growing up. There were so many things to get done ahead of time to enjoy the day.
Tears of Present Pain
What brings tears to your eyes? We often do not know what will make tears well up inside of us and emerge. Sometimes it just happens, while at other times, it’s just so expected!
“Together”
Being an introvert, I enjoy being alone at times; however, being together is so much better most of the time.
Look Around
While watching the musical and looking around, I thought how lucky I was to be alive right then and there with my son Jason next to me seeing this dynamic production together.
Spirited Aspens
On my recent trip to Colorado this point was driven home in Rocky Mountain National Park. I was drawn to the stark contrast of life and death as it intertwined amidst the trees.
Synod Youth Day
God’s love changes everything was today’s theme at the ELCA Youth Gathering.
Lines at Christmas
My thoughts became somehow focused on the lines of the crosswalk at which we were stopped and the line between death (the hearse) and life (the baby in the stroller). Plus it was Meridian Street (Meridian representing the lines of longitude that stretch half way around the earth). Lines, lines everywhere.
The Loss of Impulsivity
At what age do we lose the ability to do the things our impulses tell us to do? Children have the innate, impulsive ability to do what needs to be done without thinking.
