Obliteration
the light of God’s love for us obliterates the cross! The cross, the instrument of Jesus’ death, can’t even be seen due to the overpowering nature of God’s love for us!
St. Mary’s Downtown Indy
Although our Easter this year is different, it still is timelessly the same! Christ has died! Christ is risen! Christ will come again! What hope!
Naked Butts
Each summer my grandsons (Elijah age 8 and Judah age 6) come to visit for a week. Daily we experience some special downtown adventures and then go to Vacation Bible School. One day our adventure took us past the fountain pictured here. The boys giggled and wondered why I would take a picture of ladies with bare butts. I love their giggles.
Toilet Paper
Today’s walk on Good Friday was clear, sunny, and brisk. Traffic seemed a little higher than I am used to seeing. Not sure what that’s all about. I had to drop off a prescription at the neighborhood pharmacy on Mass Ave. While waiting for it, I browsed the grocery aisles. And lo and behold! There was a whole aisle of toilet paper! Now that’s hope!
The Power of Three
I saw a commercial with the catchy title “Wash Your Hands: You Have Skin In The Game;”
Gone Fishin’
Gone Fishing? The internet, which as we all know is never wrong, right, says this phrase means: "If someone has gone fishing they are not very aware of what is happening around them. The idea is that the person is there but their mind isn’t.“ What a great idea!
Real Silk Hosiery
As I walk along Massachusetts Avenue near my home, there is a most intriguing side alley. So intriguing that I stopped there on today’s walk. As you approach the alley, you smell the scent of roses. One smells this faint, floral aroma before you get to its origin.
Ann Dancing
Today’s walk took me along Vermont Street and Massachusetts Avenue. It’s harder than I thought to be all alone on the streets of downtown.
Mindful Breaths
William Pleve, pictured above, is my great-grandfather on my mom’s side. He was born on February 29, 1876. That means in actual birthdays he would be only 36 years old as his birthday falls on Leap day, meaning he celebrates only every four years!.
Aaron not Hur
As I was driving home the other evening, the song came on “With A Little Help from My Friends.” I am not a Beatles’ fan, never have been; however, the words of this song do resonant with me.
Bamboo Labyrinth
After meandering around one woman’s vast back yard in Delaware, finding the large circle of striking cedar trees noted in the labyrinth description online and locating the entrance for the labyrinth amidst the trees, I was in awe of the path, the seclusion and the feeling of total security as I walked the path.
Robert Is My Neighbor
Instead of paying $95 a month to park in the lot next to my building, I play the parking game every day.
Leaving Your Mark
When my oldest son, Jason, was over in England, my daughter, Shannon, had his permission to drive his car. Unfortunately, she became involved in a minor fender bender and decided to have it repaired at an auto body shop, thinking her brother would never be the wiser.
